Major internal: Supportive therapy for colds and chronic infections of the respiratory tract.

Minor internal: Supportive therapy for lower urinary tract infections, prostatitis, candida albicans infections, polyarthritis (rheumatoid arthritis).

External ointment for: Poorly healing wounds, chronic ulcerations, burns, eczema, psoriasis, herpes simplex.

Actions: Antiseptic, antiviral, peripheral vasodilator, non-specific immunostimulant, antiinflammatory, antibacterial.

Note: In human and/or animal experiments, echinacea preparations given internally or parenterally have prduced immune effects. Amoung others, the number of white blood cells and spleen cells have been increased, capacity for phagocytosis by human granulocytes activated, and body temperature elevated.
